How you prepare for your session is ultimately up to you but here are some suggestions to think about to make the shoot personalized to how you invision. Outfit changes may be feasible based on the length of the session - if this is something you'd be interested in please discuss before the shoot so we can make sure we have enough time allotted. Dress for the weather but your outfit style is up to you. It can be anything from casual wear, styled themed outfits, show attire or dresses. A lot of clients choose to have hair and make up done as well, but ultimately your comfort during the session is the most important thing.

Your horse should be prepared the same way you would for a show. Some people choose to to: bathe, clip, braid, shine up hooves, and have clean tack ready for the session. I also suggest a lunge before your session if your horse is fresh or has a hard time standing still.

Having a second person come to the shoot that knows your horse is also super helpful to help handle, wipe down any dirty spots that happen, hold horses during outfit changes and help get that ears up look!


SOCIAL MEDIA POSTS?

Yes! You may post your photos to social media. While I always appreciate a shout out in the form of a tag, it's not required. If you choose to, you can tag NK Equine on Facebook, or @nkequinephotography on Instagram.


WHAT ABOUT PAYMENT?

Payment in full is expected at the end of the session. You are welcome to pay for it by cash, Venmo or Paypal.

Deposits are required to secure your session time, and are non-refundable. In the case of inclement weather, I will work with you to find another date. Rescheduling outside of weather reasons requires a one week notice. This deposit should be paid within 72 hours of a booking a confirmed session.


DO YOU HAVE PAYMENT PLANS?

Yes! We can customize a payment plan based on your budget. Pick your monthly amount and we will schedule a date for the end of the payment periods. Easy as that!

TRAVEL FEES?

I am more than willing to travel outside of my normal area (Portland, Oregon metro) with a nominal travel fee to cover expenses. These fees will be discussed during booking, and are only applied to clients outside of a 1 hour radius.
